[Guh, might as well get this over with. He just wants to get this admission over and go back to brooding over things he can't change. Not to mention drinking coffee and hanging out at the turtle pond.]

[And half an hour later, Angeal's knocking on the door.]
[He doesn't actually need to knock. But Angeal will be Angeal, Sephiroth knows. He's glad to hear from him anyway. So he goes to answer the door, Minerva clinging to his shoulder and chirping cheerfully.
[That's because Minerva knows that Angeal spoils the hell out of her and of course, this time is no different. He's got treats waiting for her, so he's not unprepared.]
Tea would be great.
[And although he's not sure how much he'll have, it'll set things to ease. So he takes the small package of treats for Minerva out of his pocket and places them on the table.]
[She chirps again and glides from Sephiroth's shoulder to the table, picking at the package enthusiastically. Minerva stretches out her nose to nuzzle Angeal's hand affectionately. Sephiroth gives his friend a mildly reproving look as he always does over this before moving around and getting the tea prepared.]
[Angeal was glad Minerva was over and bothering him so he could open the package for her. It gave him something else to focus on when he heard Sephiroth getting to the point. This..was hard damn it but he still didn't look up.]

[Unable to get the damn package open due to nerves (but he'd only say he wrapped it too tight) Angeal reached for a small knife he kept on him. So once he freed the treats from it, the knife was put back, then proceeding to let Minerva have what she wanted.]
You were right..about me having a thing for Gaignun.
[No his face isn't turning red, get your eyes checked.]
[Angeal, the last time you told him to get his eyes checked was over the Gaignun thing. He's pretty sure his eyesight is fine. Which is part of why he's giving Angeal a wry, if slightly smug, look as he sets his friend's cup down in front of him.]

[Minerva hums sweetly as she settles in, gulping down the treats eagerly. Humans concern themselves over the silliest things. The general thrust of what she sent to her owner was that if you preferred a certain mate, then you let them catch you when mating time came. Humans make this too complicated. On a certain level, Sephiroth couldn't help but agree, but kept it to himself.]
[This is the part where Angeal knew that smirk was coming. And it was deserved, he was man enough to admit it. But he sat at the table when the cup was put down and shook his head.]
It's complicated, but he knows how I feel. So that's why I thought to tell you.
[He knows what Genesis would say so it's not being discussed with the red head. However, Angeal is no fool and he's more than sure Genesis will hear of this sooner or later. And it's complicated because it isn't just them. There's three other people to consider here.]
[Sephiroth settles at the other side of the table with his own cup. He lifts an eyebrow slightly at Angeal's words, sipping at his tea.]
My apologies, Angeal, but you have a marked habit of making things complicated when they have no need to be. So I can't help but question why they are complicated in this case.
[His main assumption is that Angeal's breakup with Demyx is involved, particularly since he has his suspicions why Angeal broke up with Demyx. And of course Genesis will hear about this, probably closer to sooner than later.]
[This was something that Angeal couldn't rightly answer because he wasn't sure of the outcome or even sure of what his own state of mind was half the time.]
It's fine, I'll figure it all out. I just thought you should know since you were right about me.
