Mission 6: [Accidental Video]

[The PCD has just been dropped somewhere, but it's somewhere with a pretty good view of the room. Sephiroth doesn't notice the blinking light as he sits in a chair in the Hall of Fire. He is, naturally, back in his usual outfit. His expression is one of deep thought, or possibly brooding, distant and inward-focused. Finally, he stands, pacing around the hall a bit before approaching the fireplace.]

Mother...

[He rests one hand on the fireplace mantle, the other lifting to press against the side of his head in a way that could indicate pain or disorientation. Finally, the feed times out.]

[She is not his mother, but she is a mother, and no mother could ignore a child calling out. Besides, he sounds just enough not all there to be worrisome.]

[He pauses, gathering up the courage to continue.]

[Sephiroth's expression tightens a little; the humming, angry pain behind his eyes isn't really helping his patience.]

Why should I talk to you about this, Zack? I'm not a fool. Every move, every word, reeks of fear. Something about this frightens you, and if it didn't, you wouldn't be talking to me at all.

I confide in my friends, and you haven't been acting like one.

[Zack shuts up at that. Even when they were on good terms, Sephiroth always exuded such a power. He still does. And Zack would be stupid to fight him on this.

Sephiroth's words make sense, but Zack still can't forget what he went through. He's ridiculously stubborn, yes, but he just can't give in so easily.]

[Sephiroth lets out a barely audible growl of frustration. The fact that Zack can't deny a word of it is painful.]

You can't have this both ways. I have tried to be patient with whatever your problem with me is, but I am not inclined to share personal information when it seems your only interest in me, Fair, is whether or not I am doing whatever has you acting like a trooper in Zolom territory.
