Mission 3 : [Video]

[The PCD is not picking up Sephiroth very well because he's holding it in one hand and moving a lot, but there are flashes of leather, silver hair, and steel. Mostly, what the PCD is picking up is the absolute devastation around him. Sephiroth is out in one of the more urban areas of the Wastelands, and he is destroying it. The mangled corpse of a horned worm is briefly visible as Sephiroth leaps into the air.

There's a quick series of slashes, visible as flickering steel in the feed, but more revealed by the arcs of blue-white light that result, cutting through a building and sending it crashing apart in pieces.]

This is unsatisfactory. Is there anyone willing to spar with me? In the interest of full disclosure, I am capable as both swordsman and magic user, and I am not in the best of moods.

[lkajdf! This is soooo disorienting. At first all he knew of Sephiroth was that he was an enemy, then he'd been told about different versions of the very people he knew from home and he was even starting to think of the guy as someone completely different. But now?

Now Sephiroth had spent a week as Riku's brother and this was just too weird. Would it look bad if he continued to stay out of Sephiroth's way? Probably, which is why he was responding to this.]

Do you always end up destroying buildings when you fight?

[This Sephiroth might as well be a completely different person. While there's darkness in him, he hasn't been consumed by it. And he really only knows who Sora is because, well, he just spent a week as Riku's brother.]

Of course not. [Derp. He means that in the kindest way possible.] I'm usually fighting in areas where people live. It's rare that I'm in a position to let myself make this much of a mess.

[He was getting used to the idea that this Sephiroth wasn't a danger to Cloud...or to him. The fact that there wasn't a giant black wing sticking out of Sephiroth's back helped. Still, the fact that the other can be consumed by darkness isn't gonna keep him away. Maybe Sora can even help.

Well, that news sounds good to him. At least it's not like the last time he had buildings thrown at him. He just sounds curious.] What kinda stuff do you fight? Do you have monsters back home?

[He probably needs all the help he can get, not that he would ever, ever admit it.]

We have a fairly broad selection of monsters in the world I come from. [Not home. He's had a home now, and there is nowhere in the world he came from that felt like that.] ...Some of them look like people.

[Sora would help without saying that he was. At least until he was asked directly.]

Stuff like that worm? [He picks up on that but doesn't say anything. This kid was a firm believer that the heart chose the home and it wasn't always a world. To the part about some of them looking like people he just nods.] How often do you go out to fight?

Not exactly like but some are similar. Things worse than the worm, as well. Dragons. Behemoths. Tonberries.

Very often. It's my job. [It's his purpose, really, but he hates that he was raised to be ShinRa's weapon, so he's not about to say so.]

I've only seen dragons and not all of them are bad. Though a tonberry kinda sounds like a fruit of some sort. [Probably not edible.]

Do you like fighting?

Hardly. Tonberries are small, lizard-like bipeds dressed in brown robes. They're hell to kill for most and a pest even for me. They can soak up a ridiculous amount of damage and they have an attack where the power increases depending on how many monsters the target has killed.

When it's used against people who kill monsters as part of their daily routine... Well, you can imagine. [Yes, even Sephiroth hates Tonberries.]

[Does he like fighting? There's a question Sephiroth doesn't hear much. He considers it for a moment before replying.] If it's a good fight, then yes. However, if I'm fighting something that's far beneath my level, it's not particularly satisfying and can feel like a chore.
